Deal being struck for UK release

Morrissey has seemingly struck a deal to get his autobiography on the shelves within a few weeks.

Simply put: 2013 has not been Morrissey's year. Between health worries and tour postponements, the singer has endured a run of back luck which could make a good man turn bad.

Completing work on his autobiography, the singer was determined to see out the publication. However a recent statement on True To You indicated that conflict with Penguin had forced Morrissey to shelve the book.

Now, though, a fresh statement on True To You shines fresh light on the book's progress:

"The publication of Morrissey's Autobiography remains with Penguin Books. This is a deal for the UK and Europe, but Morrissey has no contract with a publisher for the U.S. or any other territory. As of 13 September, Morrissey and Penguin (UK) remain determined to publish within the next few weeks."
