Morrissey Urges Fan Boycott

Singles boxsets 'unauthorised'

Mancunian master of melancholy, Morrissey has requested his fans not purchase the two forthcoming boxed sets of Morrissey singles.

Morrissey is angry at the forthcoming release of ‘The 7” Singles ’88-’91’ and ‘The HMV/Parlophone Singles ’91-’95’, having not been consulted by EMI, HMV or Parlophone about either of the forthcoming back catalogue reissues.

Morrissey goes onto urge fans not to buy the Rhino boxset of Smiths CD’s or the Warner releases of Smiths LP’s on 180 gramme vinyl as, again, he was not consulted about either. Morrissey also claims that he has not received royalty payments from EMI or Warners in a number of years.
