Morgan Harper-Jones has shared new song ‘Main Character’.
The songwriter’s excellent 2022 EP ‘While You Lay Sound Asleep’ was a bold triumph, finding the youthful artist working alongside producer Luke Smith. The Rochdale-raised voice continues her evolution on this new single, one that leads into her eagerly awaited debut album.
A project framed by grief, the material on her LP finds Morgan Harper-Jones getting intimate. New song ‘Main Character’ is breathlessly honest, building to that empathetic chorus via an irresistible path of melody.
Dubbed “an anxiety-spiral-slideshow featuring all of my biggest regrets”, Morgan links with producer Iain Archer to construct the song, which comes ahead of a short run of October shows.
