English songwriter Morgan Harper-Jones has shared new song ‘Alone With You’.
The rising force gained a huge co-sign when her music was picked to appear in Love At First Sight, the cult Netflix show that makes social media waves with each episode.
New album ‘Up To The Glass’ is out on March 22nd via PIAS, with Morgan also laying out plans for a major UK headline tour.
A precocious talent, her song ‘Alone With You’ taps into her prevailing sense of innocence; lyrically, it’s a tale of longing and desire, with words that come from the heart.
Built around a coy melody, ‘Alone With You’ evolves subtly, before packing a punch in that catchy chorus. She comments…
“‘Alone With You’ is about longing for someone who is probably a massive walking red flag and all of your friends say “pls just delete their number and walk away” but it’s very difficult… And they are likely very charming and sparkly so you forget how shit they can make you feel and you think “ohh this time will be different” and then you call them and then they break your heart and then your friends are all probs like “told you so you fool but we love you and you’re only human so it’s okay. BUT THAT’S IT NOW” and you’re like “yes that’s it now…..”
