more eaze, claire rousay Combine On New Album ‘no floor’

A full collaborative project...

more eaze and claire rousay have completed work on new collaborative album ‘no floor’.

The two are old friends and close collaborators, each establishing a unique, singular voice in their field. For her part, claire rousay won affections earlier this year, with Thrill Jockey released album ‘Sentiment’ gaining huge acclaim.

Continually creative, more eaze and Claire rousay have pushed on, completing a full collaboration.

Out on March 21st, ‘no floor’ is a five-track exploration of ethereal Americana atmospheres, a dose of audio painting that combines two very distinctive artists.

‘limelight, illegally now’ is the first song to emerge from the record, and it’s a beautifully open piece of music. Redolent of open Texan plains, it feels similar to the way Brian Eno incorporated zero gravity Americana into his ambient work of the 80s.

mari maurice aka more eaze elaborates:

‘Limelight’ was a very big bar in the mid-00s San Antonio for shows, I opened for Bill Callahan there as a 17 year-old. We were both going there underage because we were both teenagers playing in bands there, though we didn’t know each other at the time. We’ve since had a lot of conversations where we realized we were at the same shows at the same time.

Tune in now.
