Moor Mother’s ‘ALL THE MONEY’ Is A Powerful Depiction Of British Cruelty

Absorb it now...

Moor Mother offers intersections on British history with new song ‘ALL THE MONEY’.

A profoundly important artist who blends spoken word with left-field audio tapestries, Moor Mother’s new album ‘The Great Bailout’ turns its gaze towards British colonial, and post-colonial, history. Looking to our country’s involvement in the trans-Atlantic slave trade, it also peers into our often cruel international interactions.

With the current situation in the Middle East – remember the Palestinian Territories was once a British protectorate – this could scarcely have come at a more apt time.

New song ‘ALL THE MONEY’ is a scorching analysis of finance, and how British might was most often procured at the expense of Black flesh. A deeply powerful piece of music co-produced by Vijay Ayer, it also features Alya Al Sultani.

Out now, ‘ALL THE MONEY’ further explores darker aspects of our history through its video, a revealing watch  directed by filmmaker and multimedia artist Cauleen Smith.

Tune in now.
