Mogwai are set to release their new remix album 'A Wretched Viral Lore' through Rock Action on November 19th.
Mogwai love a good remix. The Scottish band have been known to dabble themselves, supplying mind-melting re-workings on a need-to-know basis. Now the band have confirmed an album of remixes based on their own material, featuring some surprising names.
Based on the splendidly titled full length 'Hardcore Will Never Die But You Will' upcoming remix LP 'A Wretched Viral Lore' will be released on November 19th. Featuring a number of re-workings, guest producers include The Soft Moon, Robert Hampson, Tim Hecker and RM Hubbert.
Set to be released on the band's own Rock Action imprint, the opening cut of 'A Wretched Viral Lore' has already emerged online. Re-shaped by Godflesh founder Justin K. Broadrick, the new version of 'George Square Thatcher Death Party' moves in some rather unexpected areas.
