Mogli needed to escape – but found that her problems came with her.
The electronic musician broke free of a toxic relationship, relocating to Berlin and immersing herself in the rave citadel.
Yet she hadn't deal with a number of internal issues, and her life began to flux and distort as a result.
New album 'RAVAGE' is an attempt to process this, matching those intense emotions to deluxe electronic songwriting.
We're able to share album cut 'Bones', the fourth single from her powerful new work and it illustrates her intent, and her execution.
She comments: “As someone who trusts her gut 100 percent it was devastating for me to realise depression brought toxic voices with it that disguised as my own intuition. Every line in 'Bones' can be read as benevolent or cynical from the pain because I couldn’t distinguish anymore.”
“I broke out of a toxic relationship and moved to Berlin. Consequently, I was completely on my own trying to find out who I was while battling depression. I passionately dove into touring and working which inevitably led to burn-out. Writing this album became my catharsis, I was able to face my fears. Being brave enough to make yourself vulnerable heals you and brings you happiness.”
Amid undulating electronics her voice permeates the track, with Mogli making her thoughts clear.
The ambitious visualiser has a cinematic sweep, one that pushes Mogli to the brink before climaxing with a dramatic fight.
Tune in now.
