LA songwriter Miya Folick shares new song ‘This Time Around’ over the holiday break.
The artist’s new album ‘Erotica Veronica’ is out on February 28th, released through Nettwerk. Available to pre-order now, a flurry of previews – such as single ‘La Da Da’, ‘Alaska’, and ‘Erotica’ – went live as winter drew in around us.
Over the holiday season Miya opted to share something new, with ‘This Time Around’ sending chills down spines as December drew to a close.
Out now, the delicate structure is augmented by some special guests, people close to Miya, sharing her artistic impulses.

Kate and I wrote this in Brooklyn on the floor. Just two guitars and a voice memo. I’ll share the demo eventually.
We recorded this version in LA with the best band and engineer. I cried when I heard the final mix. I was walking along the beach in California but got so hyped I had to run. Sad songs do that to me. (warning: Meg’s solos are so heartbreaking it’s unbearable.)
Whatever kind of holiday season you’re having, I hope this brings you some comfort. The song is meant to be hopeful.
