Miley Cyrus, The Raconteurs, And Many More Pull Out Of Woodstock 50

Troubled anniversary event vows to continue...

Miley Cyrus, The Raconteurs and many other artists have pulled out of Woodstock 50.

The event was initially launched to celebrated the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival, but has since run into choppy waters.

After bouncing around various sites across upstate New York, Woodstock 50 now plans to settle at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

However Rolling Stone reports a rep for the venue who claims the booking has not been made official, and that the overall event will be free entry.

The Black Keys pulled out in April, with Rolling Stone and Pitchfork now reporting that Miley Cyrus, The Raconteurs, The Lumineers and Santana have all pulled out.

Creedence Clearwater Revival songwriter John Fogerty will not perform at Woodstock 50, while the Lovin' Spoonful's John Sebastian has also nixed his involvement.

There has been no official word from organisers on the status of Woodstock 50.

Woodstock 50 is slated to run between August 16th – 18th.
