Miles Kane will release new album ‘One Man Band’ on August 4th.
The songwriter returned with all-new album ‘Change The Show’ last year, accompanied by a frenetic UK tour. Opting to take that energy back into the studio, Miles Kane has already completed work on a follow-up, which lands later this year.
Out on August 4th, ‘One Man Band’ was produced by James Skelly, with sessions taking place at Kempston Street Studios.
“Making the album back in Liverpool with my family really helped to bring this out of me,” Miles says of the writing process. “We left no stone unturned. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards, and this album helped me rediscover why I picked up a guitar in the first place. This album is like a brand new, yet somehow familiar leather jacket. A comforting melting pot of all the music that has inspired and continues to inspire me every day.”
New single ‘Troubled Son’ is online now, a raucous indie anthem with a side order of bittersweet emotion, it finds Miles Kane moving through sticky times, only to emerge bolder and stronger.
“It’s about the struggle we all have in life,” the songwriter explains. “Sometimes we have our shit together and sometimes we don’t. This is me acknowledging my faults and my fears and showing the journey I’m taking as I try to figure it all out.”
The video for ‘Troubled Son’ was shot at the Young Prince pub in London, and stars British actor James Buckley. James Slater directs, and you can check it out below.
