Dance fans who have been waiting for the new Midfield General album rejoice – after 8 years the release date is in sight.
After the musical equivalent of breaking down in training with a mystery thigh strain, Midfield General has spent the years since 2000’s “Generalisation” honing his game. A one off appearance at Brighton’s Big Beach Boutique event saw the General spin some sounds in front of an estimated 250,000 punters, whilst the producer also found time to run the legendary Beat Boutique club.
Midfield General returns with the snappily titled “General Disarray” on April 7th, which will be preceded by the 12 inch version of “Bass Mechanic” on February 25th.
Midfield General will also be playing a handful of club dates to promote the album. Not known for playing friendlies, the Brighton producer has confirmed the following shows:
February 9th – Brighton, Digital
February 22nd – Fabric, London
