Brooklyn’s youthful masters of electro pop MGMT have announced a pair of dates that will act as warm up shows for the group’s performance at the Reading and Leeds festivals.
The band’s popularity is currently soaring after they played not one but two spectacular shows at last weekend’s Glastonbury festival. MGMT played sets at both the John Peel Stage and the Park Stage at the event, blowing several thousand minds in the process.
MGMT released their latest single “Electric Feel” last week, which promptly flew into the Top 40 chart. The band’s album “Oracular Spectacular” was one of the more colourful debuts of the year, melding together electro pop and 60s psychedelia.

August 19th – Norwich, Waterfront
August 21st – Oxford, Academy
August 22nd – Reading Festival
August 23rd – Leeds Festival
