London indie types The Metros are set to celebrate the release of debut album “More Money Less Grief” with a free ins-store at top clothes shop Merc tomorrow (September 19th).
The band are tipped for the top after a series of stunning singles. Songs such as “Education Part Two” and “Last Of The Lookers’ mark them out as suitable heirs to the spiky indie pop throne. Lead by lead singer Saul Adamczewski, the band raised temperatures with their demos, produced by Baxter Dury.
James Endeacott saw enough potential to sign them to his renowned label 1965 Records, and the rest is history. “More Money Less Grief” is a witty, charming and above all tuneful depiction of young life in Britain today, and has already gathered some exceptional reviews.
Merc is a clothing institution in London. From its premises in the iconic Carnaby Street, the shop has provided customers with top Mod and SKinhead clobber for 30 years. Without doubt one of the most influential clothes shops in Britain, it is the ideal place to catch this exclusive acoustic set.
The Metros will play a very special acoustic set in Merc, London on September 19th beginning at 6pm. Entry is free.
