Metallica’s ‘Screaming Suicide’ Is Thrash Monster

Taken from their incoming album...

Metallica have shared new song ‘Screaming Suicide’.

The band will release their 12th studio album ’72 Seasons’ later this year, a heavy duty selection produced by Greg Fidelman alongside Hetfield & Ulrich. Clocking in at more than 77 minutes, it’s an in-depth 12 tracker, their first since 2016’s ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct’.

A massive international tour is also in the works, with Metallica sharing all-new thrash monster ‘Screaming Suicide’ as a preview.

Available gratis alongside pre-orders, it’s an absolute bulldozer, with Metallica facing down grief, loss, and trauma. Urging us all to open up, ‘Screaming Suicide’ addresses what James Hetfield terms “the taboo word of suicide…”

He continues:

Screaming Suicide addresses the taboo word of suicide. The intention is to communicate about the darkness we feel inside. It’s ridiculous to think we should deny that we have these thoughts. At one point or another I believe most people have thought about it. To face it is to speak the unspoken. If it’s a human experience, we should be able to talk about it. You are not alone.
