Metallica have stepped in to replace equipment stolen from Blistered Earth – a Metallica tribute band.

Blistered Earth are based in Washington state, and had their gear stolen following a show in Portland, Oregon at the weekend.

Word reached Metallica, who stepped in to save the day – Blistered Earth explain:

Blistered Earth's drummer Shawn Murphy gave an interview about the news, explaining:

"It’s pretty awesome that they would do that… It is fairly well documented that they had all of their gear stolen way back in the day, back when they didn’t have money to replace their gear, so they have first hand knowledge of how shitty this feels."
