Merryn Jeann Shares Cute New Single ‘ME B4 U’

It's a coming of age song...

Rising pop force Merryn Jeann has shared new single ‘ME B4 U’ in full.

Out now, the single comes alongside plans for her incoming debut album, which is slated to land next year. Set to be released on February 23rd, ‘DOG BEACH’ affords Merryn Jeann a broader palette to work with while constructing her oh-so-honest tales.

New single ‘ME B4 U’ has a coy edge to it, with Merryn refusing to play her full hand. The tension between hiding and revealing pushes the song forwards, while the production – from Rob Ellis – has a naturalistic feel, almost raw in places.

Merryn takes the reins for the new video, with her nice – Eden Rain – also co-starring. She comments…

It’s a song about understanding that one must surrender themself to one’s life before the ability of truly bringing someone in and feeling good around them too. I guess you can still really love someone even if you’re a bit rocky with yourself, as long as there’s self reflection and the willingness to get to know yourself alongside them/the relationship.

It’s also a coming of age song I’ve envisioned people listening to in the car, windows down and hands playing with the wind like in every indie love film ever.

Tune in now.
