Mercury Prize With FREE NOW 2022: Performances Confirmed

Find out who will play at the re-organised event...

The full list of performers for this year’s re-scheduled Mercury Prize with FREE NOW has been confirmed.

The event was due to take place last month, but just as guests were getting comfortable the sad news of the Queen’s death was confirmed. Organisers moved quickly, postponing the event and – with the aid of Self Esteem – all meals were redistributed to charity.

The mammoth task of re-organising the event began, and the Mercury Prize with FREE NOW is set to take pace on October 18th at the eventim Apollo in London.

Remarkably, the list of performers remains intact, with viewers on the night able to expect sets from Fergus McCreadie, Gwenno, Jessie Buckley & Bernard Butler, Joy Crookes, Kojey Radical, Little Simz, Nova Twins, Sam Fender, Self Esteem, Wet Leg and Yard Act.

Each artist will perform one song from their shortlisted album. The missing link? Harry Styles is completing a major US engagement in October, and is unable to attend; he’ll be sharing a filmed live performance instead.

Bowers & Wilkin, continues as the official audio partner of the Mercury Prize; Amazon Music meanwhile are the digital music partner of the 2022 Mercury Prize.

The shortlisted albums:

Fergus McCreadie  ‘Forest Floor’
Gwenno  ‘Tresor’
Harry Styles ‘Harry’s House’
Jessie Buckley & Bernard Butler ‘For All Our Days That Tear the Heart’
Joy Crookes ‘Skin’
Kojey Radical ‘Reason to Smile’
Little Simz ‘Sometimes I Might be Introvert’
Nova Twins ‘Supernova’
Sam Fender ‘Seventeen Going Under’
Self Esteem ‘Prioritise Pleasure’
Wet Leg  ‘Wet Leg’
Yard Act  ‘The Overload’
