MC Nelson flips the script on new single ‘Lingo’.
The rapper returned with helter skelter single ‘Dark City’ in September, and is currently working towards a new project. Having won no small degree of acclaim with debut mixtape ‘Anglosfear’, MC Nelson is rapidly making waves, having toured with the likes of Ghostface Killah, The Pharcyde, De La Soul, and Open Mike Eagle.
Working with Punch Records, the rapper returns on zesty new single ‘Lingo’. An ode to his home city Liverpool – and its fondness for the silver tongue – it finds MC Nelson shouting out the various areas of Merseyside that sit close to his heart.
Watch out for some callback references, too – including a nod to a perennial Jay-Z classic.
MC Nelson comments…
“In this song I take the listener on a tour of my hometown of Liverpool. Kinda like a Scouse spin on Jay-Z girls, with women from different areas being referenced but, disclaimer, all characters are fictional. The song bounces from area to area postcode to postcode just like I did as a kid on my bike.”
