Maximo Park guitarist Duncan Lloyd has announced he will do a small solo tour of the UK this winter.
The art-pop outfit’s guitarist has been working on a new album, ‘Seeing Double’ , which will be released on the 6th October. Lloyd will also release new single ‘Suzee’ on the 29th of September. The material is said to be a more mellow affair in comparison to the angular jitter-pop usually played by the Newcastle band. Lloyd recently spoke of his solo outing, which is not a full-time departure from the band, merely a break. “I didn’t really plan to make a solo album, and certainly not sosoon, but I guess I had developed a backlog of songs.
