Electronic producer Max Rad has shared new EP ‘Getting Better’ in full.
The musician recently shared his warm, expansive debut album ‘Joy Wonder’, the broadest project he has tackled to date. Imperious electronics with a cerebral gaze, his work is reminiscent of Jamie xx or Maribou State, with the world-building possibilities of Channel Tres.
Undaunted in his creative commitment, Max Rad extends his vision still further, with new EP ‘Getting Better’ another chapter to his story.
Packed with colour, the EP utilises a refreshing degree of nuance, fusing club tropes with a degree of introspection, and self-discovery. Sparked by relocation – he’s now based in Bristol, itself an electronic citadel – ‘Getting Better’ is fuelled by themes of recovery, and optimism.
Max Rad comments…
“This self-produced EP feels like a culmination of the work explored in ‘Joy Wonder.’ Inspired by a new city – Bristol, new collaborators, and real-life experiences, these tracks were born. I wanted to create big sounds that bring people together, help them figure out their lives, and ultimately make them feel happier.”
