Matthew Herbert Steps In To Remix Bay Area Innovator Sis

'Double Rapture' is given a wild re-work...

Bay Area producer Sis has been remixed by English producer Matthew Herbert.

Sis is the founder of Native Cat Recordings, a pre-eminent voice in digital futurism on the West Coast.

Working with a clutch of Bay Area artists – think Luke Temple, Brijean, and John Vanderslice – the label has built a stellar reputation.

Sis (real name Jenny Gillespie Mason) is a key aspect of this, building a unique voice in the process.

Her warm, lush new song 'Double Rapture' is online now, and it illustrates the painterly touch Sis uses in her music.

English artist Matthew Herbert has constructed a brand new remix, stretching out her electronic permutations into startling shapes.

Sis comments: "I wanted to work with Matthew Herbert to remix 'Double Rapture' because I knew he would be able to take the romantic and tender essence of the song and stretch it into something even more cinematic and lush."

An otherworldly glimpse into audio possibility, you can check out the remix below.
