Matthew Dear and Tegan & Sara combine on new track 'Bad Ones'.
The producer struck up a friendship with the Canadian duo over email, first discussing new ideas back in 2013.
Heading into the studio together, new song 'Bad Ones' expertly matches his crisp production to their astute songwriting.
"The process was open and free," says Dear. "Often times, we need to get out of our own way to let the magic happen, and this song is a bold reminder of that."
The song itself is a flirtatious return, the bubbling electronics underpinning a playful, romantic tale.
As Sara puts it, it's about “the relief in finding someone who loves the more complicated parts of you.”
