American avant-pop producer Matthew Dear has given away a track from his new album ‘Black City’.

Matthew Dear seems to exist in a different universe. The hugely creative artist moves effortlessly from genre to genre, resulting in an output which is extremely hard to pin down in one area.

Returning with his new album ‘Black City’ the producer has allowed himself a flight of fantasy. Out soon on Ghostly International, the album moves from minimal tech to outlandish space-disco in the blink of an eye.

A vastly ambitious project, Matthew Dear has given away new track ‘Soil To Seed’ as a special preview. ‘Soil To Seed’ is a utterly unique slice of electronic pop, the sort of thing which Matthew Dear seems to dream up on a daily basis.

‘Black City’ is due to be released on August 16th. Fans who pre-order the album will be able to claim unreleased material, including manic disco odyssey ‘Little People (Black City)’ and the non-album track ‘Innh Dahh’.
