Massive Attack To Complete European Tour By Train

In an effort to cut down their carbon footprint...

Massive Attack will complete their new European tour by train, it has been confirmed.

The band have been vocal about the need to address climate change for some train, expressing support for groups such as Extinction Rebellion.

A series of European shows have been confirmed for 2020, with the group confirming they will travel by train to complete their itinerary.

Speaking to the BBC, 3D explained: "(As musicians) we have enjoyed a high-carbon lifestyle. But as a society we've all existed in a fossil-fuel economy for a long time and had very little choice in that."

He added: "The challenge now is to not only make personal sacrifices, but to insist on the systemic change that's needed. Business as usual is over."

The move follows Massive Attack's surprise appearance at an Extinction Rebellion event last year, with the group then donating tour data spanning a four year period to the University of Manchester, who are compiling a report into the music industry's carbon footprint.
