Massive Attack Collaboration

Band Team Up With Snoop Dogg

Massive Attack’s 3D has recorded an explosive duet with American rapper Snoop Dogg dedicated to American death row prisoner Mumia Abu Jamal.

New song ‘Calling Mumia’ features Massive Attack’s outspoken 3D and American rapper Snoop Dogg. The song features on the new documentary ‘In Prison My Whole Life’ which tells the story of Mumia Abu Jamal – an American prisoner currently on death row after being convicted of murdering a policeman.

Mumia Abu Jamal was a prominent member of the Black Panther party, and worked as a Black activist before being convicted of the first degree murder of an American policeman in 1981. The case has caused some measure of controversy ever since, with supporters of the prisoner maintaining his innocence.

‘Free Mumia’ organizations exist in several countries across the world. Equally, there are several campaigns in the United States dedicated to keeping him in jail.

You can listen to 3D’s Snoop Dogg duet on the official Massive Atttack website.
