Martha’s ‘The Void’ Is A Sci-Fi Mini-Epic About “The Cosmic Darkness”

Plus: they're playing Heaven!

Martha channel sci-fi dystopia on new DIY pop burner 'The Void'.

The County Durham band's new album 'Love Keeps Kicking' lands on April 5th, and it seems to be a pivotal moment for the much-loved project.

Accompanied by a flurry of sold out live shows, Martha have decided to share another teaser.

'The Void' is a sci-fi mini-epic, channelling a bleak sense of environmental dystopia into three minutes of choppy riffs and a helter-skelter chorus.

The band comment…

"Hello again friends, here is another new song! It’s called ‘The Void’ and it’s about the cosmic darkness that’s engulfing the planet and all life on it. Impending ecological catastrophe, nuclear Armageddon, ancient gods awakening, suicidal ideation… We’re staring into the Void…"

But wait! It's not all bad, as there is also further live shows to look forward too:

"In brighter news, our show at the Garage SOLD OUT in advance, so we just announced another one and it’s our biggest one ever! It’s at a venue called ‘Heaven’ in London this October! Please grab a ticket and come! Thank you! PS: Album’s out soon!"

Tune in now.
