Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke will release new collaborative album ‘Tall Tales’ this year.
The two have known one another for some time, with Thom Yorke having appeared on Mark Pritchard’s 2016 release ‘Beautiful People’.
Last month, the pair signalled a return, with beautiful song ‘Back In The Game’ helping to inaugurate a new chapter.
Debut collaborative LP ‘Tall Tales’ is out on May 9th, and it’s available to pre-order now through Warp Records.
As well as digitally, the album will be available in a standard black vinyl 2LP gatefold edition and as a limited special black vinyl 2LP edition including a 36-page booklet featuring a wealth of images from the project and lyrics to all the tracks, carefully designed by Jonathan Zawada.
There will also be both a standard CD edition and a limited special CD accompanied by the 36-page booklet.
New song ‘This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice’ is out now – a potent indication of what to expect from the parent LP, it feels like a fully fledged collaboration. Pritchard’s digitalism and Yorke’s aching voice align perfectly, resulting in something more than the some of its (admittedly imposing) parts.
Thom Yorke is of course on a rude run of form right now – Southern Hemisphere solo shows have followed some ace ventures from The Smile, a project he helms alongside Jonny Greenwood and Tom Skinner.
