Pop voice Mark Ambor has shared new album ‘Rockwood’ in full.
It’s the songwriter’s moment, with hit single ‘Belong Together’ smashing into the UK charts – it’s now been in the Top 40 for 12 weeks and is now certified gold.
‘Rockwood’ is a broader project, allowing Mark Ambor to fully unpack his ideas. The title has a special place in his heart, referencing a real-life place which became “the perfect escape for my friends and I growing up. A place where the weight of the world fell off our shoulders for just a moment. If I’ve done this album justice, it’ll be that escape for whoever listens.”
Soothing pop sounds, it was constructed by Mark on his own, taking charge of both writing and production. He yearns for connection, however, and the material on the album aims to spark up conversations with the listener.
He comments: “I want this album to be an escape for people. I want them to feel good when they listen to these songs. I want them to feel heard. I want them to feel like part of a community, to feel a certain togetherness, to feel like they’re part of something bigger than themselves.”
