New single in the pipeline

Red hot newcomers Marina And The Diamonds have confirmed details of their forthcoming debut album.

Marina And The Diamonds have spent the year bewitching audiences around the country with their sparkling pop. Starting 2009 virtually unknown outside of a pocket of fans the group have gained huge momentum.

Releasing a handful of singles Marina & The Diamonds have stunned critics with their sprightly avant pop. Recalling Kate Bush and Bat For Lashes yet with their own sultry voice the band are tipped to breakthrough in 2010.

Led by partly Greek singer Marina Diamandis, the group entered the studio earlier this year to work on their debut album. ClashMusic caught up with the singer, with the newcomer explaining that the record charts her growth as a person.

"I think the record’s mainly about trying to change yourself as a person" she says. "Two years ago I was really different and anti-social and weird, so I had to change quite a lot.”

Now Marina & The Diamonds have confirmed details of their debut album. Produced by Liam Howe (Ex-Sneaker Pimps), Biff Stannard (Kylie Minogue) and Pascal Gabriel (Ladyhawke), the record is set to be titled 'The Family Jewels'.

Quite unlike any other release scheduled for 2010, the album contains some weird and wonderful songwriting. Trailed by the single 'Hollywood' Marina And The Diamonds have just finished making a typically inventive video.

“I am really proud to finally release my debut album" said the singer. "It is a body of work largely inspired by the seduction of commercialism, modern social values, family and female
sexuality."

Marina And The Diamonds are set to release their debut album 'The Family Jewels' on February 15th. Tracklisting is as follows:
