Welsh based oddball poppers Marina And The Diamonds have confirmed details of a new single and a free download.
It’s been quite a year for Marina And The Diamonds. Beginning as relative unknowns, the band’s acclaimed debut album ‘Family Jewels’ recently went Gold after spawning several hit singles.
A series of sold out UK tours have introduced Marina And The Diamonds to a much wider audience. Now with summer looming the group are to release a new single and throw themselves into the festival circuit.
Taken from their debut album, ‘Oh No’ is a blast of oddball pop and will be released on July 26th. Recorded last year in Los Angeles, the video for the track will be directed by Kinga Burza, who last worked with Marina on her ‘Hollywood’ promo.
Meanwhile the single will also come packed with remixes, with Caledonian electro house producer Grum amongst the pick of the pack.
To coincide with the single, Marina And The Diamonds have issued new track ‘Starstrukk’ as a free download. Available from the group’s official website the track is a live cover of the 3Oh3! song.
Elsewhere, Marina And The Diamonds have also been added to the bill for the iTunes Festival in London. The group will support Goldfrapp on July 22nd with tickets available to fans for free.
Entry comes via ballot, with fans of Marina And The Diamonds picked at random after entering their details.
