Maribou State Announce New Album ‘Hallucinating Love’

It's out on January 31st...

Electronic duo Maribou State will release new album ‘Hallucinating Love’ on January 31st.

The group’s 2018 album ‘Kingdoms In Colour’ took them to another level sparking a huge international tour. A special mix for fabric landed in 2020, before the pandemic saw the duo enter a difficult period in both their mental and physical health.

Separated from their audience, Maribou State slowly reconfigured their sound, beginning the path that would take them to their new album.

Out on January 31st via Ninja Tune, ‘Hallucinating Love’ pushes the pair towards a place of hope. Liam Ivory explains: “When we were writing, we were imagining how great it’d feel to finally be back onstage, bringing people together again.”

The material doesn’t shy away from their darker periods, with Chris Davids stating that is “about being in a dark place, a place of struggle, and then looking forward to bright futures…”

Catch Maribou State in London on November 27th for a special one-off performance at Islington Assembly Hall.
