Counting down the days until Christmas with some treats, Mute are using their social media channels to give away new music.
A potent pairing, Maps – aka James Chapman – and Polly Scattergood recently went back into the studio.
Recording a glistening yet mournful version of ‘In The Bleak Midwinter’ it’s a sombre yet beautiful collaboration.
"After our collaboration at the Mute Short Circuit Festival a few years ago we continued to hang out and write in the studio together. 'In The Bleak Midwinter' is one of our favourite Christmas songs so we decided to try our own version of it…And give it away as a present to say thanks for all the support this year.
