Manics For Heavenly Bash

Band To Play Special Set

Manic Street Preachers are the latest act announced to play the Heavenly anniversary bash, with the band set to play a very special set.

The Manics signed with Heavenly before joining with current home Sony in 1991. The ever contradictory Welsh rock gods decried indie values in their early interviews, before deciding to sign with one of the coolest independent labels around.

Heavenly records have recently turned 18 and to celebrate the label have organized a special gig at London’s Southbank centre. The gig will feature Doves and Cherry Ghost, as well as the afore mentioned Manic Street Preachers. The Manics will play only six songs during their show – their entire output whilst on the Heavenly label. This will be the group’s last show before heading back into the studio.

Although the gig is already sold out, a very limited number of tickets have been held back and will go on sale at 10am on July 28th.

The gig is part of a festival of gigs the label will be putting on to celebrate its anniversary.

Manic Street Preachers will play the following date:

September 12th – Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, London
