Manic Street Preachers have launched a new web TV channel containing their music videos, interviews and more.
The single is the DNA strand of pop music. The invention of the 45 – enabling music to be produced and purchased on a mass scale – revolutionised the pop industry and changed how music was dissected.
From the beginnings of their career, Manic Street Preachers wanted to be a great singles band. To an extent, they succeeded with new compilation ‘National Treasures’ documenting each and every release.
Throwing in a cover of The The for good measure, the new collection is a superb waltz down memory lane for fans and an ideal starting point for those aren’t exactly sure what a Manic Street Preacher is.
Now the Welsh band have unveiled a new channel on their website. Streaming each and every one of their videos, Manic Street Preachers have thrown in previously unseen interviews discussing each track.
Here’s the listing:
Channel 1 – ‘This Is The Day’ official video
Channel 2 – track by track ‘Faster’ and ‘Revol’
Channel 3 – track by track ‘So Why So Sad’, ‘Ocean Spray’, ‘The Love Of Richard Nixon’ and ‘Empty Souls’
Channel 4 – ‘Motorcycle Emptiness’ official video
Channel 5 – ‘If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next’ official video
Channel 6 – ‘Your Love Alone Is Not Enough’ (ft. Nina Persson) official video
‘National Treasures’ is due to be released on October 31st, with the band announcing plans for a one off show in London. Taking place on December 17th, the show will feature Manic Street Preachers performing “a never to be repeated one-off visual experience encompassing 21 years of MSP with 38 songs – from 1990’s ‘Motown Junk’ to (but not in order!) 2011’s ‘This Is The Day’.”
