Manic Street Preachers are set to re-issue their debut album ‘Generation Terrorists’.
20 years on and what’s changed? When Manic Street Preachers first burst onto the British music scene, guitar bands were dominated by the tail end of shoegaze, drowning in a sea of apathy and reverb pedals.
‘Generation Terrorists’ stuck out like a hand grenade in a kitten sanctuary. Almost instantly the most talked about new band in the country, Manic Street Preachers matched the sleaze of Guns N Roses with their mothers’ make up bags.
Now the album is set to gain a re-issue. Turning a sprightly 20 years old, ‘Generation Terrorists’ will be re-issued on November 5th. No word yet if any unreleased extras have been discovered, but the following formats are being lined up:
1. Anniversary Edition – 1CD
2. Legacy Edition – 2CD/DVD
3. Limited Edition Collector’s Edition – 3CD/DVD/Book/10” Vinyl
4. 12” 180g double vinyl gatefold LP
5. Download
Full details will, no doubt, be forthcoming. Here’s ‘Motorcycle Emptiness’ –
