Former Sex Pistols manager and music industry legend Malcolm McLaren has died aged 64. BBC News is reporting his death after a battle with cancer in New York.
McLaren is most famous in the music world for managing The Sex Pistols playing the svengali role expertly during the band’s career and since their demise, courting controversy with Situationist inspired tactics and publicity stunts. He was also involved in the careers of The New York Dolls and Bow Wow Wow featuring a 13 year old Annabella Lwin.
McLaren was famously in a long term relationship with fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, their son is Agent Provocateur founder Joseph Corré.
