Maggie Rogers has placed new music on her socials.
The American artist embraced maximalist pop and 90s leaning production on her excellent 2022 album ‘Surrender’, before taking it on tour. At the time, Clash caught up with the songwriter, and she went deep on the processes behind the record.
“I feel like I’ve got to purge whatever it was in my body,” she told us. “Like I did a cleanse. It feels like a real gift.”
Hitting Glastonbury last summer, Maggie Rogers began introducing new aspects into her live show. The song ‘Don’t Forget Me’ appeared on set lists, while in a newsletter to fans she revealed that her third album was shaping up nicely.
“This record came quickly over the span of five days over the holiday break. One song after another. Two songs a day. Like water on the table. It all just came spilling out,” she wrote.
Now Maggie Rogers has placed what seems to be a snippet of new material on her socials. It’s a studio cut of ‘Don’t Forget Me’ and sounds pretty damn nice, if we’re honest.
Is a new album on the way? We’re excited to find out.
Tune in below.
