Madonna is heavily rumoured to be the half time performer at next year’s Superbowl.
One of the biggest sporting events on the planet, the Superbowl attracts a global audience. The highlight of the American football season, the game secures a glitzy half time show featuring stellar performances.
Bruce Springsteen and The Who are two recent performers, with speculation beginning ahead of next year’s event. Madonna is the strong favourite, with the Material Girl close to completing her new album.
Reports in the United States indicate that the singer is being lined up to perform, with the set due to contain classic tracks alongside new material.
Upcoming single ‘Give Me All Your Love’ could feature, with the track being co-produced by Martin Solveig. Apparently due to be the centrepiece of the performance, Madonna could be joined by some guest stars.
The singer has – as ever – been collaborating frequently, with Madonna hooking up with several guest stars for her upcoming album.
One track features M.I.A. and Nicki, leading to speculation that the trinity could unite at the Superbowl. Notoriously outspoken, M.I.A. would finally be afford a global audience at one of the planet’s biggest sporting events.
Madonna has yet to discuss the reports. Producer William Orbit features on the new album, with the electronic guru recently sending the following mysterious Tweet: “I hesitate to make a comment about anything musical, y’all might think is a cryptic tease. But will say: o/o/o/o/o/o/o/”.
The next Superbowl takes place on February 5th, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The upcoming event is already breaking new ground – this will be the first ever Superbowl to be held in Indianapolis.
