Madonna was forced to pull out of a show in Lisbon last night (January 19th).
The pop icon is taking her album 'Madame X' out on the road, arranging short residency runs in cities around the globe.
However the physical impact of the tour has taken its toll on Madonna's body, leading to a string of missed dates.
Due to play Lisbon – the city where recent album 'Madame X' was largely written – last night (January 19th), fans were informed via email at 7pm that the performance was cancelled.
Madonna wrote on Instagram: "Sorry I had to cancel tonight but I must listen to my body and rest!!"

Madonna is scheduled to play another Lisbon show on Tuesday (January 21st).
