Madonna Pauses New York Residency

She has suffered a knee injury...

Madonna has decided to pause her 'Madame X' residency in New York.

The shows kicked off last month, a lavish production that will hit London in the opening weeks of 2020.

However the show has taken its toll, with the Queen Of Pop picking up a knee injury.

A show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music has been pulled, with doctors informing Madonna she must rest for three days.

A statement from her team reads:

“Unfortunately, Madonna’s Madame X concert this evening at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House is postponed. Madonna is currently dealing with a knee injury and has been advised rest for the next three days to assist in her recovery. Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets pending information on rescheduling.”

Despite this, it is anticipated the shows on Thursday (October 10th) and Saturday (October 12th) will continue.

In an Instagram post Madonna came out fighting: "I am not a quitter. This hurts me more than you can imagine. Its time to take those heels and fishnets off for a few days!"
