The highest grossing tour in history for a solo artist is set to return, with Madonna selling out dates on her Sticky & Sweet jaunt.
Dominating the live scene throughout 2008, Madonna’s tour became a huge talking point as the singer’s marriage crumbled. Madonna’s divorce from Guy Ritchie was finalised as the tour drew to a close, and the singer made frequent cryptic references to her marriage during the gigs.
Madonna recently added extra dates to the tour, and is set to play Manchester’s MEN Arena as well as London’s O2 Arena. Due to overwhelming public demand the tickets for both concerts sold out within minutes this morning (February 6th).
The tour is one of Madonna’s first acts with Live Nation. The singer signed a massive $120 million contract with the firm in 2007, which was swiftly followed by new album ‘Hard Candy’. The tour has been celebrated as one of Madonna’s finest to date.
Madonna will play the following dates:
4 London O2 Arena SOLD OUT
7 Manchester MEN Arena SOLD OUT
