Machinedrum Surges On ROZET Collaboration ‘RISE’

There's an inspired edge to the vocal...

Machinedrum and ROZET combine on new single ‘RISE’.

The ever-creative producer’s new album ‘3FOR82’ lands on May 24th, and it continues Machinedrum’s up-tempo experimentation. Melting together footwork and breaks aspects with his house and techno bedrock, he’s also joined by some stellar guests.

Take new single ‘RISE’. The song’s head-long rush into soundsystem futurism recalls DNB, but the low-end saturation is used to craft something bright, heady, and optimistic.

A trailer for the new album, the vocals from ROZET – “Don’t worry I got your back this time / When it gets dark I’ll be your eyes” – express a message of intimate support.

“’RISE’ is a message of advice and love sent to ROZET’s younger self. Words of encouragement informed and fueled by future wisdom” Machinedrum comments. “When I asked Rozet what she would tell her younger self if she had the opportunity, she would tell her “listen to your body, trust yourself, trust the truth…”

ROZET adds: “Trav (Machinedrum) asked me If I could go back in time to hang with my younger self, what would I say to them? That question re-ignited the never give up spirit behind the lyrics in ‘RISE’. “Don’t worry I got your back this time.” I wanted to send them a text like- “yes ROZET, we rose up.”

Tune in now.

Machinedrum will release new album ‘3FOR82’ on May 24th.
