Son to release album

Sir Paul McCartney's son, James, has been recording solo material with ex-members of the Liverpool ska-punk act The Dead 60s.

Following in his father's footsteps, James McCartney is set to release solo album later this year. The former Beatles offspring are a talented lot, with Stella McCartney a notable figure in the world of fashion.

Macca Jr has apparently been working with members of departed Scouse pop bandits The Dead 60s. McCartney Sr is also expected to appear on the album.

"James is a very talented singer and an exceptional guitarist,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“He is actually as good a guitarist as his father and has written some excellent tunes with very good, strong lyrics.”

James McCartney has already appeared as a guitarist with his father's band. He joins Julian Lennon, Sean Lennon and more in the frantic world of Beatles' offspring attempting to craft a career in music.
