M83 are to return with their new album ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’ on October 17th.

Essentially a vehicle for producer Anthony Gonzalez, M83 broke free of their cult-ish restraints with 2008’s ‘Saturdays = Youth’. Widely acclaimed, the success of the album took the band around the world.

Strengthening their live show, M83 decided to focus on new material last year. Recording sessions stretched on and on, with rumours of some rather epic plans from Anthony Gonzalez & Co.

Giving a number of interviews, the producer revealed that Justin Meldal-Johnson would take charge of production. Elsewhere, Zola Jesus was scheduled to contribute with Brad Laner of Medicine and ‘Saturdays = Youth’ vocalist Morgan Kibby also taking part.

Now M83 have finally confirmed the release of their new album. ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’ is a double set and it is set to drop on October 17th.

Issuing a short statement Gonzalez explained: “I think it is a reflection of my 30 years of being a human being. It’s a compilation of all my previous music together. It’s a retrospective of myself”.

Meanwhile, M83 are giving away a track from the album. ‘Midnight City’ is available to download HERE while you can stream the new song online via the band’s official SoundCloud page.
