Portland’s finest M Ward has announced details of his forthcoming album with ‘Hold Time’ due for release on February 16th, it has been announced.
Emerging from the Pacific Northwest, M Ward combines a love of Americana with an avant garde touch. A huge fan of eccentric ‘primitive guitar’ player John Fahey, the singer has risen from cult status to become a hugely acclaimed act.
Ward has been busy of late, performing as the ‘Him’ of She & Him as well as producing material for Zooey Deschanel. His latest album is the follow up to ‘Post War’, and features a host of guest performances including Lucinda Williams, Jason Lytle (ex Grandaddy) and, yes, Zooey Deschanel.
M Ward will release his new album ‘Hold Time’ on February 16th. The singer will play the following UK tour dates:
