Outspoken singer M.I.A. has revealed the tracklisting to her forthcoming third album.
When her single ‘Paper Planes’ raced up the Billboard charts, M.I.A. completed a remarkable journey. Born in Sri Lanka, educated in Britain the one time visual artist turned songwriter became a sensation.
Nabbing a riff from The Clash, the single sent a tale about passport forgery straight into the upper echelons of the Stateside chart. Possibly the most fascinating, contradictory and outspoken figure making music right now, M.I.A. has now finished work on her new album.
Clearly, this is BIG NEWS. The Sri Lankan born singer has endured personal troubles in recent times, with the United States authorities seemingly intent on keeping her away from her UK based family.
Taking to Twitter to express her problems, the singer’s Tweets are read by an audience of millions. Confirming news of her new video ‘Born Free’ M.I.A. has begun to reveal more details of her new album.
‘Born Free’ will appear on the collection, which remains untitled. The video has already generated huge controversy due to its bloody depiction of a police raid in the United States.
