American artist Lutalo has shared new song ‘I Figured’.
The Minnesota-raised, Vermont-based voice released their debut album ‘The Academy’ late last year, a project that CLASH writer Craig Howieson said “already feels like an important document. A diverse and stirring set of songs suffused with an intriguing insight into modern America.”
Moving forwards, Lutalo steps back from the broader sociological sweep of their debut album by looking at more personal matters on this new release.
Out now, ‘I Figured’ comes as Lutalo prepares to head out on tour across North America. A song that revels in sensuality, the lyrics attempt to map out grey areas.
Lutalo comments…
“‘I Figured’ is about a ‘situationship’ that likely should not be, yet still find themselves coming back to each other. There is a bit of resentment and tension between both people, but when it comes to turning each other down they still end up falling for each other. Maybe it’s love, maybe it’s lust. Even going as far as seeing ‘two elevens’ as a sign they should continue on this path.”
