Lucy Gooch has shared details of her debut album ‘Desert Window’.
The English musician caught attention with her ‘Rushing’ EP, layering undulating aspects of electronics on top of one another. Building on this with ‘Rain’s Break’, Lucy Gooch began incorporating acoustic instrumentation, leaving her folk-indebted songwriting roots exposed.
Working with revered independent Fire Records, her debut album will be released on June 6th. Available to pre-order now, ‘Desert Window’ will be accompanied by some live shows, with Lucy supporting the venerable Alabaster DePlume on a UK run.
New single ‘Like Clay’ is out now, a moment of poise and beauty that aligns Lucy’s electronic nous with her songwriting instincts. Unfurling in a very natural way, the slow-motion feel helps to add a gorgeous sense of intensity to her work.
She comments: “It came together simply and is the song that flows the most naturally…”
