Lucy Blue returns with dream pop wonder 'Pilot'.
The new ballad is built around hazy sonics, and recalls the work of Mazzy Star, or even Lana Del Rey at her most overtly beatific.
A song about control – and the ramifications of losing it – it follows the raw promise exhibited by her debut EP 'Fishbowl'.
Recently performing at Reading and Leeds, Lucy displays raw emotion in the nimble vocal for 'Pilot'.
Lucy Blue explains…
"'Pilot' is about feeling really out of control of the things around you. Everyone can feel lost sometimes – even people who are meant to be in control. I always think about being lost when I am on a plane. I wander if a pilot has ever felt so lost even though its literally their job to know the way."
"I wrote the song at a time when I didn’t feel in control of the things going on around me. A lot in my life was changing but sometimes you just need one person who makes you feel grounded and not like everything is spinning. that’s what ‘Pilot’ is for me."
